We have been speaking about this website for a long time - and it is finally here. Please excuse us as we tweak the website and get it fully up and running. Let us know your opinions and thoughts so that we can make this site better. We’re hoping this blog-style website, working in tandem with the NEW forum will be a key solution to many of the communication issues our community of students face here at RISD - we want to keep conversations going between our general Student Alliance meetings so that swift results and action on issues can be taken.

I want to thank Adam Meyer for all his website work as he has been instrumental is bringing SA to this new level of communication-potential here on-campus.

On Thursday morning representatives of the student body, working with college administrators agreed on a plan for a permanent middle-term solution to student space concerns.

Under the current proposal, part of the RISD store will be separated and converted into a 24-hour access student space. While this proposal is still in the planning and implementation stages, it represents a major step in the history of this institution.

Details of this student space solution will be discussed at the next Student Alliance meeting on Wednesday April 9 at 5pm in the Tap Room. Additionally, pertinent documentation regarding this proposal will be uploaded to the Student Alliance website soon .
